Illuminations: Truth and Iconology (Word and Image)

September-October 2016

Iconology is a term coined from the Greek Icon and Logos. Artworks submitted should include images and words. Entries might include artworks that include a word or phrase in the composition, or words that are actually illustrations. Space limited to 70 pieces or as soon as the space is full. All artworks that qualify as a word and image and have a completed application will be displayed in the Gallery September and October. First entries have priority. Judged show open to all artists: Painters, Sculptors, Illustrators, Photographers and Graphic Artists. The Judge will be selected for their knowledge and professional experience in fine art. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded at the reception. First Prize $100, 2nd Prize $75, 3rd Prize $50. Honorable mentions $25 gift certificates to the Carrollwood Cultural Center

Application Deadline: Saturday, August 20

Delivery of Artwork: Thursday, August 25 (9 am – 6 pm)

Reception & Awards Ceremony: Friday, September 9 (5-8 pm)

Pick-up: Monday, October 31 (9 am – 6 pm)
