Peter Stilton, who has painted the Maine and the Florida Gulf coast for more than 40 years, will talk about the impact those environments have on his paintings and poetry.

After interactive handling of specimen rocks, board paintings and photographs, and a short power point and video clip presentation, the talk will continue in the Corridor Gallery  for commentary and questions on the 28 paintings on display this January and February (The Sea and I). This exhibition is a preview for the March 2017 Arts for ACT Gallery exhibition in Fort Myers: “Between the Gulfs—Halfway to Eternity,” funded in part by an Hillsborough County Arts Council  Individual Artist Grant.

Stilton works from two studios, one here in Carrollwood and the second in Gouldsboro, Maine, close to Acadia National Park.
