Clay for Kids with Christina Terranova

Your kids can play with clay while learning the basics of how to pinch, coil and slab clay to be fired in a kiln. Kids will explore their creativity by hand building master pieces that will amaze.

Ages: 7-12

Handbuilding with Gilda Butler or Christine Terranova

The focus of this class will be on design and handbuilding techniques.

Ages: 18+

Supplies: Dish towel, large sponge, small plastic bowl, 5-gallon bucket with lid, 1-gallon bucket, set of pottery tools, apron. Supplies may be found at craft supply stores and hardware stores.

Materials Fee: $45 (due to the instructor on the first day of class)

Tuition: $108 member / $125 non-member

Wheel Throwing with Miriam Zohar

Adult students of all skill levels will learn the basics of wheel throwing by forming and throwing simple shapes on the potter’s wheel. More advanced students will build upon the basics to create larger more advanced projects. This class is offered more than once per week. Please see schedule.

Raku Firing Saturdays with Gilda Butler

Raku Firing Saturdays are opened for current adult students enrolled in Handbuilding or Wheel Throwing. These dates are limited to six students a maximum of four pieces each. Please contact Gilda Butler at (813) 269-1310 or email gilda@carrollwoodcenter.org. to discuss and enroll.
