The Strum & Sing Ukulele Group meets every Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at The Studio at Carrollwood Cultural Center, located at 13345 Casey Road.
The Center celebrated local emerging artists exhibiting artwork in the EMERGing Artists show during a reception on Friday, September 10.
The reception is part of the EMERGing Artists exhibit currently on display at the Center through September. Participating artists are local visual artists who have been displaying their work for three years or fewer.
New courses include Intro to Drawing, Henna 101, Cartoon Drawing, Creative Art Journaling, Rhythm Makers: Mommy/Daddy & Me, Rhythm Makers for kids, Drum & Rhythm Circle, Dance Fitness, and Chair Yoga.
Whether it’s the look of an instrument being played, the cover art of an album, a video on TV or an expressive fashion worn by a particular artist, music has never been limited to its sonic appeal alone.
Are you a spooky skeleton clown that can do creepy face painting and spooky balloon animals? The Center is looking for volunteer entertainers whose art form or performance can fit within the theme “Macabre & Mysterious.”
The Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center accepts entries for the “EMERGing Artists Show,” a visual arts show that will display works from emerging artists in the main theatre of the Center through September 2021.
The Carrollwood Cultural Center announces Ashley Lord as the organization’s Community Engagement Director.
Through a partnership with the Hillsborough County Department of Health, the Center will serve as a federal COVID-19 vaccination site on Saturday, June 12, from 9 am to 3 pm.
