A Magical Partnership
The magic of the Carrollwood Cultural Center began
several years ago with a special partnership between Hillsborough
County and the Friends of Carrollwood Cultural Center (FCCC), a
non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of
life for residents through arts and culture. Together, the county and
the FCCC worked to renovate St. Mark’s Episcopal Church into the
creative center it is today.
Located in the heart of Carrollwood Village, the
campus includes a 26,000 sq. ft. main building complete with a stage,
dance floor, art studios, computer lab and conference rooms as well as
a sister building, The Studio, which provides additional space for
classes, performances, room rentals and gallery displays.
Open since March 2008, the Center is the result of
the successful partnership that began so many years ago. The building,
owned by Hillsborough County, and the operations, managed by the FCCC,
is a perfect partnership that hopefully will be emulated elsewhere
throughout the country.
Mission
Statement
Our mission is to provide cultural and educational
programs and events to our region that enhance learning, creativity,
and a sense of community across groups and generations.
Our Vision of Excellence:
2016
On April 16, 2011 members of the Board of Directors, patrons, and staff of the Carrollwood Cultural Center defined our vision for what this organization could become in 5 years. The result of this collective effort is a vision statement that looks “back” from the year 2016 and can proudly say the following:
We are an increasingly strong organization
financially, continuing to fund our programs, events, and services
with public, private a philanthropic support.
Our community programs, events, and services are
well-known and well-supported by the communities we serve. We are a
regional model of excellence in culture and arts programs that educate,
enrich lives, and connect communities. The growth in program attendance
has doubled since 2010.
The Board of Directors and staff represent the rich,
diverse culture of our region's communities, and our programs reflect
the diverse public we serve.
